Services

I trained as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with the British Association of Psychotherapists (now The British Psychotherapy Foundation), undertaking a professional doctoral level training in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a Masters degree in Psychoanalytic studies and Postgraduate Diploma in the Psycho-dynamics of Human development (including a two-year infant observation).

I currently work as a Consultant Psychotherapist to an independent therapeutic residential organisation and as a Principal Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist for an independent fostering agency in Buckinghamshire and London. I have worked extensively with Looked After and adopted Children. I am also in private practice providing; psycho-therapeutic assessments, both short and long-term psychotherapy with children, families and adults. I provide supervision, consultations and trainings to various agencies and individuals involved with children and young people. I previously consulted to Thames Valley Probation Area, providing a regular reflective group for staff members and I was seminar leader, Year tutor and progress advisor on the BPF/Anna Freud/UCL- Doctoral training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy between 2010 – 2019.

I have 20 years experience working in mental health within the NHS and Local Authority in Buckinghamshire and Hampshire; in both inpatient and community based adult mental health services, specialist CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health service) and Social Care.

I am a member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) and accountable to its code of ethics. The ACP is recognised by the Department of Health for accreditation of UK trainings in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
